Test the Beta Version of our AI Chatbot!

Help us beta test the Region of Waterloo’s first fully AI Chatbot!

3 min read

Meet SWRILIE, our AI chatbot.

With all the programs and services out there, it can be tough to find what you're looking for. The SWRILIE AI Chatbot is designed to connect users with up-to-date information about organizations in Waterloo Region.

The idea of this project originated when we were working closely with the Children and Youth Planning Table of Waterloo Region (CYPT). They were looking for a digital companion to their website Family Compass. In particular, people might not know what keywords to use when they're looking for programs and services.

After multiple years of work, we're finally ready for you to test out the beta version of our chatbot! Unfortunately, the Family Compass website is currently offline, but you can test the chatbot at swril.ca.

No more language barriers

The SWRILIE AI chatbot works in 27 languages and more to come. You can also use the auto-detect language feature.

Even without using keywords, SWRILIE can find what you’re looking for.Through advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP), the chatbot processes your request and finds results.

The SWRILIE AI chatbot does web scraping from 211 Ontario, so that its results are up to date.

Add our chatbot to your website

SWRILIE Chatbot is made with simple code that you can easily add to your website. If you're a service provider or organization in Waterloo Region, connect with us!

Coming up soon: testing events

We're hoping to host events where young people can test the chatbot, give us feedback, and tell us their ideas for how to promote it. Follow us on Instagram @smartwatregion to hear more about those opportunities!
